# About BitGen

BitGen (Bitcoin Generative) is the most optimized generative Ordinals standard. 

The goal of BitGen is to inscribe high quality generative art on Bitcoin in the most efficient and streamlined way possible. The standard leverages recursion and generative image tech to separate assets and functionality across different inscriptions.
